In co-founding Auric Capital Partners in 2022, Jeff DeWees brought decades of experience to the firm. Jeff is responsible for sourcing investment ideas, creating and adhering to clients’ asset allocation parameters, as well as trading.

Previously he worked at Merrill Lynch for 28 years. The last seven had been spent serving the McKelvy Schellenberg & Associates team as the lead member of its Investment Finance Committee.

Jeff is a graduate of California Lutheran University and has earned the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠ (CRPS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. He also received the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, awarded by the Investments & Wealth Institute™ (The Institute), taught in conjunction with The University of California, Berkeley.

Jeff and his wife, Nikki, reside in Laguna Niguel with their children, Molly and Nolan. Jeff and his family look forward to their annual summer vacations, with Maui, Hawaii, and Disney World as their favorite destinations.
